Earth Day is just a few days away (April 22!) and we all know that one of the best ways to reduce our carbon footprint is to recycle.

Here at ZTE, we love to do our part, which is why we don’t believe in letting your phone go to waste after you’ve upgraded or switched! Our phone drive with the Golden State Warriors is just one of the ways we ensure that old devices don’t just sit in an empty drawer. Rest assured that it gets reused and repurposed!

Want to know some other ways you can take action? Check out these tech-centric tips on how you can better serve the environment:

    • Transfer Your Documents to the Cloud: Instead of saving stacks upon stacks of paper in your house, take some time over the weekend to transfer your paper documents to e-files. Put these e-files on an external hard drive or Google Drive, and recycle those paper copies. Not only will this help you live greener, but it will also free up a bunch of space in your house!

    • Unplug Your Electronics: We all like our phones to be fully charged, and we tend to feel a sense of panic when it drops below 50%. But do we really need to plug our phones in all the time? We don’t think so – and with the battery life of many ZTE phones, you don’t need to worry about your device dying quickly. By unplugging your phone more frequently, you won’t be using up as much energy.

    • Download Apps That Will Help You Go Green: The Google Play store is full of apps that can help you live a greener life. One of our favorites, Electricity Meter Reader, is great for those who are looking to cut down on their energy usage but don’t know where to start. This app reads your meter and tells you exactly where your electricity is going. Did we mention this app can also help you save money? Yeah, it’s pretty cool.
