Last week, we had a little bit (okay, a lot) of fun with our partner, the Chicago Bulls, when they took on the LA Clippers. From a freeze cam to sponsoring a special group of kids that night, if you weren’t able to join, we want to give you a glimpse of how the night went down!
First, let’s talk about who attended. Aside from both the Bulls and a few traveling LA Clippers fans, we brought a special group of kids from Youth Guidance with us to enjoy the game. Each year, we sponsor and provide tickets for a charity of our choice, and the kids at Youth Guidance were beyond deserving to be our guests of honor. Our CEO, Lixin Cheng, met with each attendee and provided them with ZTE gift bags, branded headphones (which we also given away to the first 10k fans who attended the game), and an overall experience that they’ll never forget.
Additionally, we ran a fun social media campaign that gave one lucky contest winner the chance to attend the game and watch shoot around before tipoff. To enter, we asked parents to tell us their dream for their kid when they grow up – whether that’s for them to succeed in college or shoot the game-winning basket for the Chicago Bulls. After reading through thousands of submissions, we choose one lucky winner to attend the game with his mom and be the Bulls’ “Ball Kid” for the night.
Right before tip-off, our CEO Lixin had an all-star moment of his own – he was interviewed by Steve Kashul, the host of the Chicago Bulls pregame, halftime, and postgame show on ESPN 1000 and Chicago Bulls Radio Network. They talked about our awesome partnership with the Bulls and how important it is for teams to have the latest and greatest ZTE technology.
That was just the beginning, though. During the second quarter, we got to sponsor the Bulls’ “Freeze Cam,” on the jumbotron! Everyone went crazy and the lucky winner with the best “freeze frame” got to take home a ZTE Warp 7 smartphone. Plus, we got to interact with the crowd at our ZTE booth on the United Center concourse. Fans got the chance to play around with our new ZTE products – specifically, they tested out our top-of-the-line cameras using our selfie frame!
