Just like that, CES 2017 has come and gone. The ZTE team had an amazing time connecting with all of you at our booth and couldn’t be more excited about the products we revealed – the ZTE Blade V8 Pro and our crowdfunded device, Hawkeye.
However, we weren’t the only ones who brought out some incredible devices at the show as the industry continues to go thinner and smarter in just about every way. Here are just a few trends we noticed at CES that could be changing the game in the very near future:
- Autonomous Driving: The joke that CES could also be known as the “Car Electronics Show” is more relevant than ever thanks to self-driving technology. This year, autonomy took center stage, with several manufacturers using CES to reveal their plans for a driverless future. If we thought the “Smart Home” was futuristic, car makers are here to show us that we haven’t seen anything yet.
- Smart Assistants: 2016 was a big year for the voice-activated assistants and it looks like 2017 won’t be any different. Smart assistants are soon to be everywhere, integrated into your car, your television, your kitchen appliances, and even your vacuum – so you don’t even have to lift a finger to get that to-do list done.
- TV Screens: Thinner, sleeker, and more advanced TVs are something we can always count on to come out of CES. This year, we saw TVs with brighter colors that made the picture more vibrant than ever, a screen that disappears and blends into its surroundings, and a TV that so is flexible, it can be rolled up – just as you would a newspaper. Now that’s innovative.
- Hybrid Laptops: Two devices for the price of one? Now, that’s an idea we’re on board with. Hybrid laptops were a hit at CES this year – flip from the traditional clamshell laptop to a touchscreen tablet with ease. Pair with a ZTE phone and we predict a productive 2017 in your future!
